Paris Hilton's upcoming debut album will comprise a mixture of reggae, pop and hip-hop.
The socialite will also do a cover version of Rod Stewart's Do You Think I'm Sexy. She wrote lyrics to seven of the songs.
"The whole album has so much different music on it. I like all music. It's not like I only like pop or only rock. I want to have something for everybody," Hilton said.
"I have always had a voice and always known I could sing, but I was too shy to let it come out," she added. "I think that is the hardest thing you can do, to sing in front of people. When I finally let go and did it, I realised it is what I am most talented at and what I love to do the most."

HONG KONG (AP) - Paris Hilton says her upcoming album will be a mix of reggae, pop and hip-hop, with the first single being a reggae song called "Stars Are Blind.''
Hilton will also do a remake of the Rod Stewart song "Do You Think I'm Sexy,'' she was quoted as saying in the June issue of Hong Kong magazine Prestige.
"The whole album has so much different music on it. I like all music. It's not like I only like pop or only rock. I want to have something for everybody,'' Hilton said.
Hilton said she wrote the lyrics to seven of her songs. The article didn't say how many songs are on the album.
She said she had to overcome shyness to become a singer.
"I have always had a voice and always known I could sing, but I was too shy to let it come out. I think that is the hardest thing you can do, to sing in front of people. When I finally let go and did it, I realized it is what I am most talented at and what I love to do the most,'' Hilton said.

Prestige reported the single, "Stars Are Blind,'' will be released this month by Warner Records and her own label Heiress Records, followed by a full album later this year.

Paris Hilton along with Victoria Secret Models played host at Suite Miami in Bâoli on Saturday, 20 May 2006 to the rich and famous attending the Cannes Film festival. The provocatively attired American socialite and heiress to the Hilton Hotel fortune, who also dabbles in modeling and acting, was presented a diamond ring on the occasion.
The Bâoli is a luxury restaurant on the edge of the Riviera that film stars, models and millionaire frequent during the Cannes film festival. It creates the ambience of the island of Bali in Indonesia, a very popular tourist destination. The entrance mimics the gates of a Hindu temple. The logo of the Bâoli takes inspiration from the Hindu god Shiva and symbolizes water flowing sinuously and dropping on a lingam. The interiors are exotic with palm trees, candle-lit tables and sofas bathed with subdued light from lamps.
The fact that most of us would find Bâoli frightfully expensive to eat out at could well be left unsaid. After all, someone had to pay for the diamond ring presented to Ms Hilton.

High-stepping Hilton finds some studio time away from her omnipresent ex, oil heir Brandon Davis.

Paris Hilton's been hard at work recording her forthcoming debut. She's already got an album's worth of material, but Hilton just went back in the studio to record with producer J.R. Rotem (who is also working on Britney Spears' new project).

"It's an uptempo, very fun, high energy track," Rotem told Spin.com of the new song. "It's got a surprise musical element that I can't talk about yet, but it's something that everyone will recognize and go, 'Wow, okay, that's cool.'"

Not only is the track cool, but, according to Rotem, so is Paris herself. "She was great, a real pleasure," he said. "She came into the studio very well prepared. She gets behind the mic and sounds great and her tone and delivery are great. There's a lot of personality and sassiness in her voice. She's very fun to work with."

Brandon Davis, Paris Hilton’s ex, lashed out at teen actress Lindsay Lohan while out in Los Angeles. Last Friday, Paris and Lindsay had a heated argument while in a top club where Hilton had been partying with her sister, Nicky, and some friends. On Monday, leaving with Paris from a club, David attacked Lohan, calling her a “firecrotch,” insulted the color of her pubic hair and said her intimate parts smelled “like diarrhea.” The exchange was captured on video. Davis also called the actress “poor,” apparently because her “about seven million dollars” aren’t enough. "It's disgusting. She lives in a motel," he said. Davis is an oil heir and is worth about $24 billion. Paris did not comment, but she laughed at the insults and raised her phone to Brandon’s month so that her friends could hear what he was saying. A statement sent by Hilton’s rep, Elliot Mintz, to TMZ.com says: "The only thing I want to underscore is the person making the statements was not Paris Hilton. It is unfair to characterise Brandon's statements as being reflective of Paris' feelings about Lindsay. We're dealing with two different people. It was Brandon who was speaking, of course there are moments when Paris was laughing, but she never said anything." In reply, Lohan’s publicist said: "Lindsay doesn't need to drop names to get publicity - she has talent." Even Howard Stern was shocked by the incident, calling him "a big, fat, tubby piece of s**t." "It's just evil. Just pure evil coming out of this guy's mouth," Stern said of the incident.

No wonder Paris Hilton is hissing at Lindsay Lohan. The "Just My Luck" star has been stepping out all week with Hilton's ex, Stavros Niarchos. The two partied Tuesday until 3 a.m. at Bungalow 8, then headed (with friends) back to the shipping heir's pad.

Sad Mother’s Day for Paris Hilton’s Mom

Poor Paris. She spent three to four hours shopping (as if that’s considered a sacrifice to a shoppaholic like Paris!) putting together a gift bag containing nearly $10,000 worth of Christian Dior shoes, sunglasses, handbags and perfume.

Alas, Kathy Hilton could only imagine what it was because the gift bag was stolen right outside their doorstep!

According to AP:

A delivery person set the package down outside the home’s gate to ring the intercom when a passenger in a passing car snatched the gifts.

“A fellow just whizzed by and grabbed the package,” Mintz said.

The Hilton family celebrated Mother’s Day by going out to dinner, he said.

It’s not that Paris can’t afford to replace what was stolen but it is BUMMER though going through all that effort for nothing!

Paris Hilton & Brandon Davis Unmerciful to Lindsay Lohan

Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan are in a battle and it really turned nasty on the streets of Los Angeles. TMZ caught Brandon Davis and Paris out club-hopping on Tuesday night (that's what I get for staying home and watching American Idol) and Brandon gave photographers and reporters alike quite an earful as he unleashed a filthy torrent against Lindsay.

And while Paris kept quiet she stayed in the background and laughed with approval. It was an unmerciful rant from Davis, and way over the top.

To say Paris Hilton and ne'er-do-well pal Brandon Davis hate Lindsay Lohan is one of the great Hollywood understatements of 2006. Last night, as the pair club-hopped in LA, Davis unleashed a filthy torrent as Paris laughed with approval. Davis makes numerous sexual and hygienic comments, the likes of which you probably have never heard.

Friday Night Catfight?

(May 15, 7:15PM ET) -- It was a drama filled night Friday at Hyde, a Hollywood hotspot packed with celebrities. Sources inside the club tell TMZ there was a ton of trash talk between Lindsay Lohan and the Hilton sisters. At one point, sources say, Lindsay and Paris were literally face-to-face in a heated spat.

Paris' rep, Elliot Mintz, plays down the incident. "Inside the club," he says, "Paris was having a conversation with a couple friends. Lindsay approached her table and at that moment Paris felt she was being interrupted and didn't wish to speak with Lindsay. A couple of words were exchanged and Lindsay went back to her table. I can understand how other patrons in the club could have thought it had been a bigger deal then it actually was."
Sources tell TMZ that the root of this apparent tension may be because Lindsay has recently been on a publicity campaign for her new film, 'Just My Luck.' Sources say Paris is upset because during the campaign Lindsay has mentioned Paris' name in interviews with the media. They say Paris feels as if Lindsay is using Paris' name to further her career.
Our own Josh Levine caught up with Nicky, Paris and their friend Brandon Davis leaving the club, who had a few choice words of his own to say about the redheaded star.
Lindsay's publicist told TMZ, "Lindsay doesn't need to drop names to get publicity. She has talent, great style and beauty."

New Guy for Paris Hilton

Well, that didn't take long.
Two days after announcing she had split with Greek shipping heir Stavros Niarchos, it seems Paris Hilton has found herself a new partner.
The socialite has been spotted in Las Vegas recently with USC quarterback Matt Leinhart, 23, and according to the Las Vegas-Review Journal, the pair have become "very friendly."

"We're just friends. My whole life I've made friends with a lot of people. Just because I hang out with people or have a relationship with friends, people want to make it something else. But we're friends, that's it." Leinhart told reporters Wednesday night prior to entering Pure Nightclub, where he was seen kissing and dancing very closely with Hilton.
Further proof the non-couple are in fact a couple came when later that night, Hilton told the crowd she was performing three of her new songs "for my new boyfriend".
Earlier Hilton was singing a different tune saying, "We've been friends for a while. People like to make up stories."

They were seen leaving the club together.
Niarchos, who left a broken-hearted Mary Kate Olsen to be with Hilton, has not wasted any time grieving the break up and was seen last Thursday dancing provocatively with 19-year-old Lindsay Lohan at a club in Hollywood. Three days later he was spotted leaving Lohan's hotel room.

Paris Hilton And Pink Fail To Come To Blows

Paris Hilton and Pink failed to come to blows after they both attended the Top of the Mountain concert in Austria this weekend.

Organisers were concerned that Paris who was presenting the gig would and Pink, who was headlining would have ‘issues’ over Pink’s ‘Stupid Girls’ song if they met up.
Things became even more strained when Paris made it very clear that would not share a back stage area with Pink.
A source told the Mirror: “Staff were advised that Paris and Pink were not to be allowed near each other for the weekend.
