The wisdom of Paris Hilton

Ever since her rise to fame on the international party circuit, the debate has raged in the gossip columns from Los Angeles to London. Is the heiress Paris Hilton really the most air-headed socialite the world has ever seen? Or, as her supporters claim, is her dizzy bimbo act so outrageous that it can only be a deliberate, if off-beat, self-marketing ploy?

Paris Hilton: Clueless?
Now, it seems, a leaked transcript of a legal statement she made in private may have proved the prosecution case beyond doubt. Her responses to a series of lawyers' questions reveal that the heir to the Hilton Hotel fortune admits not knowing some of her friends' names, thinks that everyone in Europe speaks French, and believes that London is not in the United Kingdom.
Her comments came when Hilton, 24, responded to a defamation lawsuit brought by the film actress, Zeta Graff, who has accused her of planting untrue tabloid stories about an alleged fight the pair had in Kabaret, a London nightclub, last June.
From her witness statement emerges a picture of a rich, spoilt jet-setter, who finds herself bewildered and lonely despite her ritzy surroundings. Asked to remember who she was with in Kabaret on the night, she tells her perplexed lawyer, Larry Stein: "I meet so many people. I don't even know some of my friends' names."
When subsequently quizzed on the last name of a companion identified as Terry, the best she is able to offer is: "It is like a weird Greek name. Like Douglas." Later in the interview, the woman whose surname is synonymous with international travel shows an astonishing ignorance of geography.
Asked whether the offending newspaper article appeared in any "UK publications", she replied: "No. There is stuff in London."

When Mr Stein pointed out that "London is a UK publication", she conceded "Right. UK. Whatever."
She then blamed her confusion about where the article might have appeared on the fact that she had spent last summer in Europe, where English-language television and newspapers were, she said, unavailable.
"I was in Europe the whole summer, and all there is is like French," she explained. "I didn't see anything because I wasn't in America."

The original article in the New York Post had alleged that when Hilton went on to the dance floor with her former fiancé, Paris Latsis, Graff - who was also an ex-lover of Latsis - started screaming at them and had to be ejected from the club. While Graff admits that an argument took place, she denies causing a scene and claims Hilton got her former publicist, Rob Shuter, to plant the story.
In her court testimony Hilton, who denies planting the story, was asked about an e-mail she sent apparently congratulating Mr Shuter on his efforts. In a response which will no doubt have pleased Graff's legal team, she replied: "Whatever I write in e-mail, it doesn't mean anything. It is just words I write."
Hilton, who is expected to inherit at least £30 million from the Hilton family fortune, also seems to show little sense of occasion or self-awareness. Under examination in the courtroom and facing a $10 million fine, she still thought it worth remarking aloud: "I'm hungry".
Asked what caused the nightclub bust-up with Ms Graff, Hilton explained: "I just said to her, she is old and should stay at home with her child instead of being at nightclubs with young people. And just that, I just - what else did I say? Just that she is not cute at all."
It is not the first time Hilton has portrayed herself as a resident of the more remote regions of Planet Celebrity. She has previously admitted to not knowing what a soup kitchen was and thinking that the giant retailer Wal-Mart sold only wall-hangings.

Some, however, believe her claim that she is simply manipulating her image to bolster her own Paris Hilton brand, which has made her a millionaire in her own right from franchising deals on nightclubs, television appearances, jewellery and perfume. She describes the brand as modelled on the doll, Barbie, whom she describes as "an American princess".
For the undecided, there may soon be a chance to make up their minds. Hilton could be called to the witness box if a jury hears the libel case later this year.

Paris Hilton has refused to pose naked in Playboy

Paris Hilton has refused to pose naked in Playboy - despite having already bared all to the world in her leaked sex tape.
The sexy socialite - who unintentionally starred in X-rated home movie 'One Night In Paris' - says Hugh Hefner is desperate for her to feature in his famous magazine. The 24-year-old beauty claims the magazine mogul has hounded her since she was a teenager.
She said: 'They've asked me a million times. Hef has been after me since I was 17, and I got offered a lot of money.
'I'll never do it. Why? Because I'm Paris Hilton.'
Meanwhile, Hilton has been accused of losing control of her bladder in the back of a cab.
Taxi driver Harden Jamison said the blonde star was too drunk to notice what happened when he picked up the 'Simple Life' star, and her boyfriend Stavros Niarchos, after a party in Hawaii.
The driver says he had to mop up the mess with a towel and plans to use the dampened cloth, containing Paris' urine, as DNA evidence against her in court.

Rick Salomon's interview by playboy.com

Late last year, Rick Salomon's three-minute home movie of himself pleasuring (and being pleasured by) celebutante Paris Hilton became the Internet must-see. The leaked excerpt of Salomon pounding Hilton and Hilton fellating Salomon was perhaps the most spectacularly pulse-quickening sequence of night-vision photography since Jodie Foster was stalked by Buffalo Bill in The Silence of the Lambs. However, Hilton and Salomon's grainy clip is nothing compared to the entire 37-minute video that Salomon has just made available for PC users to download from the website TrustFundGirls.com. The first half, shot in that famous green night-vision cinematography, shows Hilton, then 19, and Salomon, then 32, in May 2001 mugging for the camera in Salomon's bedroom and assuming half the positions of the Kama Sutra. A second, more graphic segment, shot in a Los Angeles hotel suite in glorious color, depicts Hilton as the wild party girl she's reputed to be.

When news of the pornos circulated last November, the heiress, now 23, initially denied their existence and called her ex-boyfriend Salomon, "a complete liar and a scumbag" in New York magazine. When the tapes leaked onto the Internet, though, there were suits, countersuits and even third-party suits. Salomon was married to actress Shannen Doherty when the tapes surfaced, but their marriage has since been annulled. Now a free agent, the hyperkinetic Salomon finally answers the important questions about the sex tape scandal for Playboy.com. Is Paris good in bed? Who else has Rick filmed? And who is this "fucking Fred" whose cell phone interrupts their lovemaking on the video?

Playboy.com: Why did you wait three years after it was taped to release the video?

Rick Salomon: Paris wasn't that giant of a star. I thought she was known in L.A. and New York and Miami, and I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I didn't think it was going to change my life. Now all these bad things are happening. I'm done with Shannen, my kids are always going to know their dad is in this sex tape. I'm walking around and people either love me or hate me.

PB:: If it's so bad, why did you release it at all?

RS: I released the tape because everybody already thought I released the tape. Everywhere I go, everybody thinks I did it. I didn't release this tape. I'm going to be the sex tape guy for the rest of my life, so I might as well be the rich sex tape guy.

PB: So, is Paris good in bed?

RS: Paris was pretty fun in bed. She is an enjoyable, really fun girl. Not the best girlfriend, but definitely a really fun girl to hang out with. If she were a man, she'd be the number one stud in the world.

PB: On the infamous night-vision tape, Paris interrupts your lovemaking to answer her cell phone. Who is "fucking Fred," the guy who's calling?

RS: Fred Torres is David LaChapelle's producer.

PB: Does Paris have a favorite position or sexual act?

RS: You want dirty details on Paris? Paris likes to be eaten out. That's her favorite thing, buddy. There you go.

PB: How long were you guys together?

RS: I was with Paris for a couple years. We were never in an exclusive relationship.

PB:: How did your relationship end?

RS: I got married, and we were still good friends. Then there was some drama between her and Shannen, and it stopped. Paris...she doesn't want to be with you, but she wants you to be miserable. She's like that type of girl. There was tons of drama that those two got into, so I had to cut her out of my life.

PB:: Is your ex-wife Shannen Doherty good in bed?

RS: Shannen's fun for sure. I can't really go too crazy on that, but she's a real fun girl.

PB:: Who's the hottest trust fund girl out there?

RS: You got me name-dropping over here. Who would I like to...? That little Amanda Hearst is pretty darn cute, right? [Laughs]

PB: If we were going to put together a poll of the hottest celebutantes out there, who would you like to see on it?

RS: I don't know if I should answer, because then I'm not going to get a chance to hit any of them. I'm going to have a hard time now as it is.

PB: TrustFundGirls.com? Will there eventually be more girls on the site?

RS: I'm going to have some girls, probably. This isn't a one-hit wonder. This is going to be giant.

PB: Do you have more tapes?

RS: I do have some more tapes, and I don't know if anybody's gonna get to see them, but I got some good tapes for sure. I got a nice little library.

PB: How do you get a girl to let you videotape her?

RS: Girls are pretty into it. I've even had some girls who knew about this tape want me to film them. They love it.

PB: When was the last time you saw Paris?

RS: I saw her last month at Sundance.

PB: Did you watch Paris on The Simple Life?

RS: I didn't watch it till about a week ago, then I bought the DVD and I did watch it. My porno is like The Simple Life sex tape. It's got the same feel. If you like The Simple Life, you'll love TrustFundGirls.com. [Laughs]

Carrey fumes at Simpson and Hilton

Movie star Jim Carrey has hit out at Paris Hilton and Jessica Simpson over their willingness to sell their secrets to boost their fame.

The Mask actor is happy to let people speculate about his love life, but he will never feel compelled to set the record straight.

He says: "I think people feel desperate to be noticed sometimes.

"It can lead you to give too much away. I'm just not going to do that.

"My love life will never be for sale. People can speculate all they want, but it will never be up on the auction block.

"It will never be used to promote myself."

Paris Hilton accused of using racist slurs

Paris Hilton has once again been accused of using racist slurs.

Last year the rich bitch denied using the N word…now promoter Brian Quintana has claimed that she called him a "lazy Mexican."

According to the Post Chronicle, Quintana has said that the Mexican slur was just one of the hateful things she has said to him in a bid to keep him away from her boyfriend, Stavros Niarchos.

He has also alleged that he has received threatening phone calls that have gotten so bad that he believes his life is in "imminent danger"…is he serious?

Last week, Quintana filed for a restraining order against Hilton while claiming she had a serious drug problem (that would explain a lot) and is well known for her erratic behaviour.

In one message allegedly left by Paris that Quintana has made public she screams: "You're a pathetic loser! Never call or text Paris or Stavros again."

If that is her and she is speaking about herself in the third person then that is worrying…

Paris will appear in court on January 17 to contest this crazy man’s claims…2006 is already shaping up to be a pretty shitty year for Paris.

Paris Hilton lies for gossip

Paris Hilton took trashing her boyfriend's ex to the next level while she was dating Paris Lastis. Zeta Graff, who is also an heiress, (are you nauseas yet?) filed a $10 million slander suit against Hilton. Here's what happened: Zeta said that Paris said that Zeta attacked her. Which, would be a non-issue, except that Paris planted the false story in the press.
Eventually, Paris admitted that Zeta Graff never did attack her — Zeta can't wait to "see her explain this one to the jury." This sounds really Laguna Beach to us, and it gets a bit ridiculous. $10 million? Nobody even knows or cares who Zeta Graff is — if you ask us, Hilton did this girl a favor by putting her name on the scene.
So, now that Paris has jumped over to Mary-Kate Olsen's ex, Stavros Niarchos, we simply wait and see what story will be cooking between her and MK. You know if nothing happens, Paris will totally make-up her own drama.

Celebutante Paris Hilton faces slander and harassment suits

Party girl Paris Hilton may soon face the more subdued ambiance of a courtroom.

Court hearings are scheduled this month in two separate lawsuits against the 24-year-old celebutante-turned-model, though it's unclear whether she'll appear at either. The first pits the hotel heiress-actress against diamond heiress-actress Zeta Graff, who claims Hilton and others spewed "vicious lies" printed in a New York Post story about an altercation between the two at a London nightclub.

The July 2 Post story reported that Graff - who once date Hilton's then-fiancee, Greek shipping heir Paris Latsis - went "berserk," tried to strangle Hilton, attempted to steal her diamond neckless and stalked her.

In fact, Graff claims, Hilton cussed at her and said "I'm going to destroy you" after unsuccessfully trying to oust her from the nightclub.

Former Hilton publicist Rob Shuter said in a deposition in the lawsuit that she asked him to help plant the story, saying he gave the paper comments attributed to himself, Hilton and anonymous sources that were actually dictated by Hilton, court documents say.

Hilton spokesman Elliot Mintz declined to comment Wednesday on the lawsuit, saying the matter is pending.

"Nobody welcomes lawsuits and she's an obvious target for this kind of stuff," Mintz said. "She will go about dealing with the legal system the way anybody else would."

Hilton was deposed Nov. 9, but the transcripts have not been made public.

The lawsuit, filed in July, seeks at least $10 million in damages. A Jan. 17 hearing is scheduled in Santa Monica Superior Court to consider Hilton's request for more information about the damages claim.

Coincidentally, that's the same day a hearing is scheduled in Los Angeles in a second lawsuit against Hilton.

Event promoter Brian Quintana, 37, who says he had a "business-social relationship" with Hilton, alleges in a Dec. 29 filing that she repeatedly harassed and badmouthed him in the news media. He is seeking a restraining order.

"I have received numerous calls (from Hilton) threatening my life," Quintana stated.

Mintz said Hilton may seek a restraining order against Quintana.

"I can assure you that when all of the facts are revealed in this matter, they will show that the victim is in fact Paris Hilton," Mintz said.
